Understand yourself in ways that help you thrive

It's never too late to make changes in your life and open new doors. Therapy is a process of exploring your history and uncovering the different parts of you that have developed over your lifetime. Some parts serve to help or protect you, while others keep you stuck and hinder your efforts to live a meaningful and happy life.

If you don’t know what type of assessment you need, just give us a call and our friendly Client Engagement Team will help you out.

A snapshot of the therapy process

Reaching out when things are tough is not easy, but it’s courageous. You also don’t need to have all the answers and you may be simply letting us know that you’re not okay. While we are there to support and guide you, remember you have the ultimate control over what happens in therapy.

Our team are focused on building open, supportive relationships to get to the root of why current challenges have arisen. We meet you where you’re at, take a collaborative approach that works with you, and ensure you know exactly what to expect throughout the entire journey.

What the therapy process looks like:

Intake

Our Client Engagement Team will collect information about the concerns or problems that have brought you to the clinic. Make sure you have a GP Mental Health Treatment Plan and referral letter if you’re looking to secure a Medicare Rebate.

Initial session

We’ll use the initial session to get to know you and help you become acquainted with the process of therapy. Together, you and your therapist will personalise the approach and therapy plan to meet your unique needs.

Sessions two and three

Our first few sessions together involve understanding your concerns and what you hope to gain from these sessions. We’ll pinpoint what factors are underlying the presenting concerns and we’ll develop an action plan for how to reduce your struggles and move towards your goals.

Session four (and beyond)

This is where we use the most appropriate, evidence-based methods to make positive, meaningful changes in your life. Our therapists will check-in on your progress regularly and we’ll continue to seek your feedback to learn what is and isn’t working. We’ll work together until you feel your concerns have been adequately addressed and you’re confident to move forward on your own.
