Miranda is warm, authentic and brings a creative approach to therapy. She is flexible in her approach in order to meet people where they are at, and loves to incorporate creativity when appropriate. Her particular interests are working with neurodivergent young people, those who identify as LGBTIQA+ or gender diverse, and supporting people with chronic health conditions or disability. She believes everyone deserves to feel confident to navigate the world, particularly if it feels like it wasn’t designed for them. She takes a neuro-affirming and gender-affirming approach and aims to help people feel aligned within themselves whilst also equipping them with skills to navigate stressors and life difficulties. Miranda hopes people leave her therapy room feeling heard, seen and confident she is in their corner.
Miranda has experience working across a number of settings including youth focused services such as headspace, and health focused services such as psycho-oncology at St Vincents Hospital. This professional experience, combined with her own-lived experience with chronic illness and disability has informed her holistic view of wellbeing and her therapeutic approach.
Miranda is passionate about Lego and loves the creative process of seeing something incredible emerge from a pile of bricks. She also loves Lego photography, and the creative challenge of capturing minifigures out in the world. Outside of the therapy room, she starts each day with a beach walk with her dachshund Elsker, and gets a thrill from unearthing a great op-shop find.
