"If you want others to be happy, practice compassion. If you want to be happy, practice compassion," the Dalai Lama
Contact UsNivek is a compassionate, warm, and open-minded professional who offers space to explore what it means to be human — to struggle, to adapt, and to relate to our challenges in more helpful and effective ways. At the heart of Nivek’s approach is the understanding that many of our difficulties are shaped by experiences and circumstances we didn’t choose, and that healing often begins with learning to hold those struggles lightly while moving toward a more valued and meaningful life.
Nivek brings a wealth of experience from specialist Adult Mental Health and Perinatal Services in the UK. She works with adults experiencing a wide range of mental health concerns, such as depression, difficulties with anxiety including OCD and phobias, trauma and complex trauma, grief and loss, and other psychological difficulties. Nivek has a particular interest in how early experiences, life transitions, and social context influence emotional wellbeing across the lifespan.
Her perinatal work includes supporting individuals and families through the period from conception to two years after birth—a time of profound physiological, relational, and psychological change. This can include experiences of antenatal or postnatal depression and anxiety, OCD, health anxiety, fear of childbirth or medical intervention, pregnancy and baby loss, pregnancy after loss, neonatal admission, birth trauma, physical pain and sickness, or adjustment to unexpected diagnoses.
Away from work Nivek enjoys spending time with family and friends, and encouraging her stubborn sausage dog to take a walk. Whatever the weather, you can find Nivek in one of many great ocean and rock pools along the NSW coast, where she is making up for lost time that was spent in the UK!
