Becoming a parent can be one of the most meaningful experiences of your life. But it can also feel overwhelming, confusing, and far from what you expected. If you’ve found yourself feeling anxious, flat, self-critical, or simply not like yourself – you are not alone.

This group is grounded in Compassion Focused Therapy (CFT) and offers a gentle, supportive approach designed especially for women during pregnancy and the first two years of motherhood.

A space to feel understood

This small, online group brings together women who are navigating similar challenges – creating a space where you can feel seen, heard, and supported. Together, we explore:

  • The emotional ups and downs of pregnancy and early parenting
  • Why your mind and body respond the way they do
  • How to soften self-criticism and reconnect with yourself
  • Ways to feel calmer, more confident, and more compassionate

  • Feeling less alone in what you’re going through
  • Letting go of the pressure to “get it right”
  • Understanding your emotions instead of fighting them
  • Learning practical ways to soothe overwhelm and anxiety
  • Connecting with other women who truly get it

Group details

  • Weekly online sessions (telehealth)
  • Small group (4–10 participants)
  • 10 sessions, 60–90 minutes each
  • Babies are welcome
  • To receive a Medicare rebate you must be referred by your GP under a MHTP

Suitable for women who are pregnant or up to 24 months postpartum and experiencing mild to moderate emotional challenges such as anxiety, overwhelm, or low mood.
